In Welsh mythology, Blodeuwedd is a woman made from the flowers of broom. Created by a powerful magician to be the wife of Lleu Llaw Gyffes. Blodeuwedd has no morals because of her wild roots, and because of this she commits adultery. Gwydion curses Blodeuwedd, banishing her into an owl for the rest of her days.
